KHULNA, May 13, 2020 (BSS) – Mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Talukder Abdul Khaleque distributed foodstuffs, cash money among 1,284 distressed, needy and jobless people as the government continues its efforts to mitigate the sufferings of poor people rendered by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He dispensed 224 maunds of rice, Taka 1, 28,400 and others essential relief materials among the destitute people of different wards in city yesterday afternoon aimed at mitigating their financial hardship amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation by strictly maintaining physical distancing.
Each of the beneficiaries received a sac containing 7-kg rice, Taka 100 for purchasing vegetables and other essentials as a part of the government’s instant humanitarian support programme.

KCC’s panel Mayor Md. Aminul Islam Munna and ward councilors, among others, accompanied the mayor.
