One held with arms, ammo in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 12, 2020 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms peddler with two foreign pistols, four magazines and 12 rounds of bullet from Gomostapur in the district this morning.
The arrested person is Md. Mozibur Rahman, 40 of Ajmatpur village under Shibganj upazila in the district.
Company Commander of Rajshahi Mollapara camp Additional Superintendent of Police ATM Mainul Islam said acting on detective information, an operation team of RAB-5 raided in Helipad Bazar area in Gomostapur upazila of the district at about 10 am and arrested Mojibur with the arms and ammunition.
Later the arrested person was handed over to the police of Gomostapur thana with filing a case.
