Film maker Rana Hamid laid to eternal rest in Netrakona

NETRAKONA, May 10, 2020 (BSS) – Filmmaker, director and censor board member
Rana Hamid, who died of cancer at a hospital in Dhaka last night, was laid to
eternal rest at his family graveyard at village Satburikanda in Netrakona
sader upazila today.

Earlier, the body of Rana Hamid was brought to the village Satburikanda by
an ambulance this morning.

The namaj- e-janaza of the deceased was held at 11am today on his home
premises in the village following the health guidelines.

State minister for social welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru and district

Awami League leaders, civil society members and local people attended the
janaza.

Meanwhile, state minister for social welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru
expressed his deep shock at the death of film actor, producer and director
Rana Hamid.

Talking to BSS here, the state minister Khasru said, the nation has lost a
meritorious filmmaker at the death of Rana Hamid.

He conveyed his sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and prayed
for eternal peace and salvation of the departed soul.
