DHAKA, May 9, 2020 (BSS)- Awami League Presidium Member and the central 14-party spokesperson Mohammad Nasim today urged the concerned to give financial support to the working journalists to encourage them and set up an specific treatment center for them.
In a statement, he said, the journalists are the front fighters in the war against Coronavirus. The journalists of print and electronic media of Dhaka and outside of Dhaka are collecting different news of Coronavirus, government management, relief and others for publishing and broadcasting for the common people.
He said two journalists died due to Coronavirus while a number of journalists were affected by the virus. “But, it is unfortunate that there is no specific treatment center for the journalists,’ he added.
The former minister urged the information minister to look into the matter and to take steps for giving financial support to the journalists.
