RANGPUR, May 9, 2020 (BSS) – Sadar Upazila Chairman Nasima Zaman Boby
today distributed 6.30 tonnes of rice among 630 jobless, distressed and
helpless families of Chandanpat and Saddyapuskorini unions in Sadar upazila
of the district.
She distributed the rice allocated by the government at three separate
informal functions of the two unions to tackle the uneasy situation caused by
the coronavirus outbreak.
Each of the 630 families got 10-kg of rice.
Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Israt Sadia Shumi, Chairman of Chandanpat
union parishad Md. Amenur Rahman and Chairman of Saddyapuskorini union Alhaj
Md. Sohel Rana attended the functions.
On the occasions, Nasima Zaman Boby said the government will continue to
provide the jobless and distressed people with food until the coronavirus
situation becomes normal.
