RANGPUR, May 7, 2020 (BSS) – Rangpur Zilla Protibondhi Adhikar Sangstha
(RZPAS) today distributed food assistance among 25 families of people with
disabilities in a function held at Rostamabad School ground in Badarganj
upazila of the district.
The RZPAS distributed the food with funding of Bangladesh Business and
Disability Network (BBDN) under management of Access Bangladesh Foundation to
assist the challenged people in the wake of the coronavirus (COVID-19)
outbreak.
Each of the beneficiary families of the physically-challenged people
received a sack containing 15 kg of rice, two kg each of pulse and potato,
one kg of edible oil, 500 gram of iodized salt and two pieces of soap.
With President of RZPAS Rabiul Islam in the chair, Executive Director of
BBDN Murtezarafi Khan and Executive Director of Access Bangladesh Foundation
Albert Mollah attended the function arranged strictly maintaining physical
distance.
On the occasion, President of RZPAS Rabiul Islam thanked the BBDN and
Access Bangladesh Foundation authorities for distributing relief among the 25
families of challenged people of five unions in Badarganj upazila under the
present situation.
