NAOGAON, May 07, 2020 (BSS) – Four more persons were diagnosed as coronavirus (COVID-19) positive after testing 124 samples in the last 24 hours till today morning, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 53 in the district.
Among the newly detected COVID-19 patients, two hail from Atrai upazila and two from Raninagar upazila, according to the local health department sources.
A total of 5,603 people have been sent to quarantine so far in Naogaon district.
Of them, almost 4,215 were released from quarantine as they were found no symptoms of coronavirus. At present, as many as 1,478 people are kept in quarantine to prevent community transmission of COVID-19 disease.
