Workers’ welfare foundation provides Tk6.25cr to workers as medical
assistance
DHAKA, May 6, 2020 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Foundation under
the Labour and Employment Ministry has provided Taka 6.25 crore as medical
assistance to around 2,000 workers in formal and informal sectors.
After verifying the applications of the workers who have applied for the
support, the Workers’ Welfare Foundation has issued around Taka 6.25 crore
cheques for the workers of the accidental death or injured in the work places
or suffering from incurable diseases, as per a Labour and Employment Ministry
press release issued today.

Haque said Bangladesh Workers’ Welfare Foundation fund was formed for the
welfare of working people.
“This fund provides assistance to the workers of both formal and informal
sectors,” he added.
