Tk 168 crore Jamalpur municipality budget
JAMALPUR, June 20, 2018 (BSS) – The proposed budget for the year 2018-
2019 of Jamalpur municipality has been announced this morning.
Mayor of the municipality Mirza Shakhawatul Alam Moni announced the
budget of Tk 168 crore 25 lakh 34 thousand 689 at its conference room.
In the budget revenue (general section) income was shown Tk 12 crore 75
thousand 311 and revenue expenditure Tk 11 crore 36 lakh 21 thousand 950. In
the budget revenue surplus from the general section was shown Tk 64 lakh 53
thousand 361.
On the other hand revenue (water supply section) income was shown Tk 61
lakh 21 thousand 20 and revenue expenditure Tk 59 lakh 62 thousand 700.
Revenue surplus from the water supply section was shown Tk one lakh 58
thousand 320.
The Mayor depicted various side of income for the budget .He said Tk 25
crore will come from third urban infrastructure improvement project , Tk 6
crore from 53 districts town development project, Tk 100 crore from 8 town
development project of Jamalpur district, Tk 3 crore 9 lakh from ADP, Tk 7
crore from important urban infrastructure development project and Tk 10 crore
from the project of construction of cleaners dwelling houses.
The Mayor said in the budget importance has been given on repairing of
roods, extension of water supply and electricity, road widening, controlling
on plying battery run auto rickshaws for reducing traffic snarl and
increasing aesthetic of the town.
The Mayor said that no additional tax was imposed in the budget.
