Injured ethnic youth shifted to CMCH by BAF helicopter

DAKA, May 4, 2020 (BSS) – Jatin Tripura, an injured ethnic youth of Zopui
Para under Sajek Union of Rangamati, was shifted to Chattogram Medical
College Hospital CMCH (CMCH) in a critical condition yesterday by a
helicopter of Bangladesh Air Force for better treatment.

Bangladesh Air Force has been providing emergency air transport and
medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) assistance in aid to civil power under
Bangladesh Armed Forces, an ISPR press release said.

In line with this, Jatin Tripura was flown to CMCH from Rangamati by BAF
MI-17SH helicopter for better treatment.

Jatin was seriously injured when he fell from a high hill while working in
a zoom field on April 29 last.

Immediately after his wounding, he was brought to the nearby Zopui Para
BOP and he was provided with first aid at the BGB camp.

As his condition was deteriorating gradually, Jatin was airlifted to the
CMCH by BAF MI-17SH helicopter for better treatment, the release added.
