DHAKA, May 04, 2020 (BSS) – Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at some places over the country, said a weather bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) this afternoon.
“Rain or thunder showers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Chattogram division and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet divisions as trough of low lies over the West Bengal and adjoining areas,” the Met office bulletin said.
Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Meanwhile, the river ports are asked to hoist cautionary signal number one (1) as squally weather may occur over some regions of the country in the next few hours till 6 pm today.
“In association with rain or thunder showers temporary west or north-westerly, gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur over the regions of Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet wherein river ports shall hoist cautionary signal no. one (r) one,” BMD warning message read.
The sun will set at Dhaka at 6:29 pm while tomorrow’s sunrise at Dhaka would be at 5:21 am.
