BANDARBAN, May 3, 2020 (BSS) – The Bandarban unit of Bangladesh Red
Crescent Society (BDRCS) today distributed food packages among jobless poor
and helpless families who are affected due to the impact of Novel Coronavirus
(COVID-19) at Ruma upazila in the district.
The district unit of the BDRCS distributed food packages containing rice,
pulse, edible oil, sugar, salt, and various food items among 42 families
under Kurangpara, 17 families at Thongrengpara, 27 families at Menrot
Headmanpara, 21 families at Menrolapara, and also among 107 families of
adjoining areas under Galinga Union visiting the houses of these people.

Secretary of BDRCS Amal Kanti Das, unit member Gabriel Tripura, unit-level
Officer M Mosharraf Hossain and Jubo Red Crescent Society Chief Monirul
Islam, were present, among others on the occasion.
Amal Kanti Das said they have stood beside these poor and helpless people
during this Coronavirus situation and their operation would continue in
future.
