Khalid distributes relief among poor in Muktagacha
MYMENSIGH, May 3, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid today distributed relief materials among 10,000 destitute and jobless people of Muktagacha upazila at his own initiative
The relief materials were distributed to mitigate the financial hardship of the destitute and jobless people of the state minister’s home constituency in the district.
The distributed relief goods included rice, edible oil, pulses, salt, potato and soap.
Upazila Awami league sources told BSS that the relief materials were distributed by the leaders of upazila and union AL on behalf of the state minister.
Sources said, among the total 10,000 beneficiaries 3,500 were in Muktagacha Pourashava. Each of them received 10 kg rice. 1kg edible oil,1 kg pulse,2 kg potato ,1kg salt and a piece of soap.
Besides, 6,500 beneficiaries of 10 unions of the upazila received the same relief materials.
Each of them got 7 kg rice, 1 Kg edible oil, 1kg pulse, 1kg salt and 1 kg potato and a piece of soap, sources said.
The state minister told BSS that distribution of relief goods would be continued in the upazila at his own personal initiative.
