10-month-old infant recovers from coronavirus in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, May 2, 2020 (BSS) – Country’s youngest COVID-19 patient, a 10-
month-old baby, has returned home in Chattogram on Saturday noon after
recovering from the novel coronavirus.

Dr Asim Kumar Nath, superintendent of Chattogram General Hospital,
confirmed the matter.

The infant, Abir, is a resident of Chandnaish upazila of the district and
the youngest patient infected with the virus in the country.

After being diagnosed with Covid-19, he was admitted to the isolation ward
of CGH on March 21. Abir was discharged on Saturday after recovering from the
disease, said Dr Asim.

Hospital sources said the baby is perfectly healthy and returned home from
the hospital on his mother’s lap this afternoon.
