Nilphamari DAE deputy director passes away

NILPHAMARI, May 02, 2020 (BSS) – Deputy Director of Department of
Agricultural Extension (DAE) in Nilphamari agriculturist Nikhil Chandra
Biswas died of cardiac arrest at Nilphamari General Hospital here this
morning.

He was 58.

Biswas left behind wife, a daughter and a son, a host of relatives, fellow
colleague agriculturists and admirers to mourn his death.

Earlier in the early morning, Biswas suffered a severe heart attack at the
DAE’s Nilphamari Guest House and was rushed to Nilphamari General Hospital
where the attending doctor declared him dead.

Local DAE officials said Biswas, son of Binod Bihari Biswas, hailed from
Monirampur upazila in Jashore district.

He was an officer of the agriculture cadre in the eighth batch of
Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS). He joined the Nilphamari DAE office on
November 17 last.

Halida Biswas, wife of the deceased agriculturist, received his body from
the hospital authority this noon and started for Monirampur upazila in
Jashore.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Hafizur Rahman Chowdhury, Superintendent of Police
Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman, Civil Surgeon Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Barman, Additional
Director of the DAE for Rangpur region Agriculturist Muhammad Ali and
Nilphamari municipal mayor Dewan Kamal Ahmed, among others, were present.

Knowing the death news of Agriculturist Nikhil Chandra Biswas, Member of
Parliament from Nilphamari-2 (Sadar) constituency Asaduzzaman Noor condoled
the death, conveyed deep sympathy to the members of the bereaved family and
prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
