550 helpless people get food support in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, May 2, 2020 (BSS) – Around 550 people both male and female were given food assistance today aimed at easing their livelihood related hardship caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
Each of the beneficiaries were given a bag containing ten kilograms of rice, five kilograms of potato, two kilograms of pulse, one kilogram of edible oil, one kilogram of salt, two soaps, 250 grams of bleaching powder, savlon and two masks as humanitarian support.
Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) provided the relief materials with financial support of Burro Bangladesh at District Liberation War Memorial Stadium in the city through maintaining social distancing.
RCC Chief Executive Officer Dr Sharif Uddin, Ward Councilors Towhidul Haque Suman and Umme Salma Bulbuli and Regional Manager of Burro Bangladesh Mijanur Rahman were present at the distribution ceremony.
