RAJSHAHI, May 2, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 44 kilograms of ganja from a place in Natore district last night, Rab sources here said today.
The arrested persons were identified as Arif Hossain Malitha, 23, son of Azibar Malitha and Maidan Bishwash, 20, both of Jagannathpur village under Ishwardi Upazila in Pabna district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in Madrasha crossing area in Natore sadar Upazila around 11.30 pm and arrested them with the huge ganja after searching a truck, RAB sources said, adding that the team also seized the truck.
Later, the arrested persons along with the seized truck and contraband goods were handed over to police.
A case was filed with Natore Sadar police station in this connection.
