1st parcel train leaves Ctg for Dhaka in morning
CHATTOGRAM, May 1, 2020 (BSS) – The first parcel train carrying agricultural products and raw materials left Chattogram railway station for Dhaka this morning. Later, the train uploaded scheduled agricultural goods and raw materials from Sitakunda and Feni on the way to Dhaka.
The parcel train will run seven days a week on Dhaka-Chattogram-Dhaka and Dhaka-Jamalpur routes. Another parcel train will run on the Jessore-Dhaka route three days in a week, railway sources said.
The parcel train will leave Chattogram at 10 am every day and reach Dhaka at 4 pm. It will leave Dhaka for Chattogram at 10 pm. The parcel train will touch all the important stations on the way.
Sadequr Rahman, general manager of Eastern Railway confirmed BSS that the first train with furniture, shoes, agricultural products and raw materials left Chattogram for Dhaka at 10 am today.
