CHAPAINAWABGANJ, May 1, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) arrested an alleged drug peddler with 47.2 litres of home-made liquor
from Malpukur under Chapainawabganj sadar upazila this afternoon.
The arrested person is Md. Shahin Ali, 45 of Chandlai Jorebagan area under
Chapainawabganj municipality.
RAB sources said acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 from
Chapainawabganj camp raided the aforesaid area around 12-30 pm and stopped a
Chapainawabganj-bound autorickshaw coming from Amnura. After searching the
auto-rickshaw, RAB found 118 bottles of locally made wine weighing 47.2
litres and arrested Shahin.
Later, the arrested person was handed over to the police of
Chapainawabganj sadar police station.
A case was filed in this connection.
