RAJSHAHI, May 1, 2020 (BSS)- Around 145 persons with special needs were given relief materials to lessen their hardship related to livelihood caused by the adverse impact of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
Each of the physically and mentally challenged people both male, female and children were provided a bag containing 10 kilograms rice, two kilograms of potato, one liter of edible oil, one kilogram of salt, sugar, onion and pulse each and a mosquito coil packet.
Afsar Hussain CRP, a divisional level centre of Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralyzed (CRP) here, provided the foodstuffs with financial support of American Friends of CRP at premises of Bangladesh Shishu Academy in the city yesterday.
Additional District Magistrate Abu Aslam, District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Aminul Haque and CRP Center Manager Suma Begum were present at the distribution ceremony.
