RpCC distributes fruits to coronavirus patients’ doorsteps

RANGPUR, May 1, 2020 (BSS) – The authority of Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) distributed Vitamin-C enriched fruits to the coronavirus (COVID-19) infected nine patients at their doorsteps in the metropolis on Thursday afternoon.

Led by Chief Executive Officer of RpCC Md. Ruhul Amin Mian, its Chief Health Officer Dr. Md. Kamruzzaman Ibne Taz, Sanitary Inspector Abdul Kaiyum and other officials and employees reached the fruits to the COVID-19 patents at their respective houses.

“We reached a 10-kg cartoon containing Malta, Apple, Pineapple, Lemon, Banana, Dates, Guava and other Vitamin-C enriched fruits to each of the nine coronavirus patients at their doorsteps in different areas of the metropolis,” Ruhul Amin Mian said today.

The RpCC authority also provided 10-kg rice with pulse, edible oil and other foodstuffs to the insolvent coronavirus infected patients.

“We will continue reaching Vitamin-C enriched fruits and other foodstuffs to every COVID-19 patients across Rangpur metropolis area in phases,” Ruhul Amin Mian said.

Wishing early recovery of the coronavirus infected patients, he said they should have solid moral courage which is the most vital factor to easily get recovered from the disease.

He called upon the family members of coronavirus infected patients also to become courageous, properly abide by the health directives and take care of their infected family members to get them recovered easily at their respective home.

“The society and neighbours of coronavirus patients should leave a negative attitude and extend assistance to the COVID-19 patients and their family members for recovery of the patients at home,” Amin added.

He especially called upon neighbours of the COVID-19 patients and their family members not to become panicked as the rate of death from coronavirus infection is very low and the infected patients can get treatments at home for quicker recovery.
