Teenage boy drowns in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 30, 2020 (BSS) – A teenage boy drowned in the river Padma at Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district this morning.
The deceased is Mithun, 16, son of Md Ekhlas of Dakkhin Panka Terorashia village under Shibganj upazila in the district.
Ekhlas, father of the deceased, said his son along with three others went to the river Padma by a boat for catching fish around 11 am. When they were throwing net, all them fell into the river from the boat.
Three others managed to get on the boat by swimming, but Mithun went into missing.
After searching three hours, the locals recovered the body of Mithun around 2pm.
