Govt’s humanitarian assistance to continue: Kamal Mojumder

DHAKA, April 29, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Mojumder today said the government will keep continuing its humanitarian food support for all who became jobless amid the COVID-19 situation.

“The government is providing food support to both lower class and middle class people who have lost their jobs due to coronavirus. The government will continue the humanitarian assistance across the country during the coronavirus crisis,” he said.

The state minister said this while distributing daily necessaries and sanitizer to the people at Mirpur area in the city, according to a press release.

Kamal Mojumder distributed the essential commodities and hand sanitizer among the 200 families at Mirpur area.

Each family received 10 kg rice, 2 kg pulse, 2 kg potato, one piece of soap and a tube of hand sanitizer.

From the beginning of COVID-19 situation in the country, Kamal Mojumder distributed the food items among 5000 families.
