Nasrul distributes food aid among poor in Keraniganj
DHAKA, April 29, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral
Resources Nasrul Hamid today provided food assistance to the poor, destitute
and workless people at Keraniganj upazila of the district in the wake of
coronavirus outbreak .
This was the third phase of food assistance programme taken by the state
minister and Keraniganj upazila chairman Shahin Ahmed with own funds.
Under the programme, the state minister is distributing food among listed
30,000 poor and insolvent families at union level of the upazila.
Under the first and second phases food assistance programme, about 76,000
families got food aid from it.
The food assistance programme is being conducted at 12 unions of the
upazila alongside the humanitarian assistance of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina.
