National Occupational Health and Safety Day tomorrow
DHAKA, April 27, 2020 (BSS)- The National Occupational Health and Safety
Day will be observed for the fifth time across the country tomorrow with a
call to ensure sound health of the workers and safe working environment for
them.
The theme of the day this year is “MujibBorsherOnggikar,
ShovanKormoParibeshHokSobar”, said an official handout here today.
In Bangladesh, the day is being observed to create awareness among the
people as well as the workers and the employers on occupational health and
safety as per the guidelines of Occupational Health and Safety Policy -2013.
The release said the government has been observing the National
Occupational Health and Safety Day on April 28 every year since 2016, taking
the occupational health and safety as an important issue for all industries.
But, it said, all programmes of the day this year have been cancelled due
to Coronavirus crisis.
