Two held with phensidyl in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, April 27, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug peddlers with 474 bottles of phensidyl from Dayingpara area under Godagari upazila in the district early hours today.

The arrested persons were identified as Atikul Islam, 32, son of Golam Mostofa and Selim Reja, 34, son of Mourtoza Alam. Both of them are from Bagdurpur village under Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj district.

On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a raid in the aforesaid area around 1:30 am and arrested them with the phensidyl after searching a pumpkin-loaded truck, RAB sources said, adding that the team also seized the vehicle.

Later, the arrested persons along with the seized truck and contraband goods were handed over to police.

A case was filed with Godagari police station in this connection.
