One more test positive for coronavirus in Joypurhat
JOYPURHAT, April 26, 2020 (BSS) – One more patient was tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) in Panchgram area of Kalai upazila of Joypurhat last evening (Saturday).
“After testing 37 samples of suspected patients, 36 of them were found negative for COVID-19. However, a garment worker aged 20 years, who came from Gazipur, was diagnosed with the disease,” Civil Surgeon Selim Miah told to BSS.
With this, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases rose to five in Joypurhat, said Kalai Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Ashiq Ahmed Jebal Bappi today.
All coronavirus infected patients, including the new one, are undergoing treatment in the isolation ward of Institute of Health Technology at Gopinathpur union under Akkelpur upazila of the district, he added.
All COVID-19 tests were done at the laboratory of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital located in Bogra town, he said.
