BNP instigates people instead of supporting during COVID-19 crisis: Khalid
DHAKA, April 25, 2020 (BSS)- State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud
Chowdhury today said BNP is instigating people of the country instead of
standing by them during the ongoing coronavirus(COVID-19) crisis.
“BNP always wants to grab its own interest capitalising people. They(BNP
leaders)are instigating people instead of standing beside people during the
ongoing coronavirus(COVID-19) pandemic. We have to be aware of BNP in this
regard,” he told a programmeheld on Teghra High School premises under Biral
upazila of Dinajpur district while distributing Iftar items among distressed
and workless people.
BNP is not distributing relief at all and even they don’t have any
intention of knowing people’s actual condition during the coronavirus crisis,
he said.
He said law enforcers will take strict action against instigatorsto avoid
untoward situation.
He urged everyone to abide by the government’s directives to deal with the
deadly novel coronavirus.
Praising Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said: “Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina has brought the whole country under one umbrella that thing no one has
done before.”
All including doctors, police, field administration and Awami League
leaders and workers are working with utmost sincerity under the dynamic
leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, he said.
Later, Khalid Mahmud, accompanied by local administration and Awami League
leaders, distributed Iftar items among 5,000 families on nine spots in his
own constituencyDinajpur -2.
