Two fake police held in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, June 19, 2018 (BSS)- Two fake police were arrested from Baneshwar
Bazar area under Puthiya upazila in the district today.
The arrested were identified as Hafizur Rahman, 34, son Bishu Mondal and
Babul Hossain, 35, son of Abdur Rahman. They are the residents of Mohanpur
upazila in the district.
Shakil Uddin Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Puthiya Police Station, said
they were trying to collect toll from local businessmen identifying
themselves as policemen.
On a tip-off, a police team rushed to place of occurrence at around 12 noon
and nabbed them red-handed. Police also seized a motorbike with sticker of
police from their possession.
A case was recorded with the police station in this connection and the
arrested were sent to court, the police officer added.
