DHAKA, April 24, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind at different parts of the country in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions with hails at isolated places,” the met office said in a 24 hours weather forecast commencing at 9 am today.
Day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country during the period, it said.
The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.2 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna and today’s minimum temperature was 19.0 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat in Rangpur.
The maximum rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 83 millimeters (mm) at Mongla in Khulna division.
The sun sets at 6:24 pm today and rises at 5:29 am tomorrow in Dhaka.
