Ansar-al-Islam militant gives confessional statement
DHAKA, April 23, 2020 (BSS) – An alleged member of banned militant outfit Ansar-al-Islam today gave confessional statement in an anti-terror act case filed against him.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Sayeed recorded statement of Abdullah Al Amir alias Ajmir and sent him to jail.
Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Ajmir from Court House Street in the capital on April 21 and recovered a smart-phone from him.
According to police, Ajmir is an active member of Ansar-al-Islam and used to maintain contact with different pro-militancy people online. He used to propagate militancy ideology on different social networking sites.
