Sonamasjid Land port operation begins after a six-day holiday
RAJSHAHI, June 19, 2018 (BSS – Operational activities in Sonamasjid Land
Port resumed today after a six-day holiday at a stretch to mark the
celebration of Eid-ul-Fitre.
According to the source of Sonamasjid Import and Export Group,
activities of the country’s second largest land ports resumed after the Eid-
celebration as usual.
Towfiqur Rahman Babu, General Secretary of the group, however, said the
Sonamasjid immigration section was functional for the passport-holding
passengers during the holiday.
He said the port plays an important role towards boosting the region’s
economy coupled with improving living and livelihood condition of its public
in general.
