Jabbar condoles Saadat’s death

DHAKA, April 23, 2020 (BSS) – Posts and Telecommunications Minister
Mustafa Jabbar today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of former
cabinet secretary and former Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC)
chairman Saadat Hussein.

In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul
and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Saadat, also a freedom fighter, breathed his last at 10:30 pm on Wednesday
at United Hospital in city at the age of 73, his family sources said.

He was undergoing treatment at the hospital for the last several days for
various physical complications, including high blood pressure, diabetes and
kidney ailments.

Saadat is survived by his wife, one son and two daughters.

He served as the cabinet secretary from 2002 to 2005 and PSC chairman from
2007 to 2011.
