Met office forecasts rain with lightning flashes
DHAKA, April 23, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) today predicted that rain or thundershowers may occur at different parts of the country with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind in 24 hours as of 9 am tomorrow.
“Rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Khulna, Barishal, Dhaka, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi and Mymensingh divisions with hails at isolated places,” the met office said in a 24 hours weather forecast commencing at 9 am today.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country during the period, it said.
The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius at Mongla in Khulna and today’s minimum temperature was 18.7 degrees Celsius at Tetulia in Rangpur.
The sun sets at 6.24 pm today and rises at 5.29 am tomorrow in the capital.
