CHATTOGRAM, April 22, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged terrorist with a foreign-made pistol, ammunition and drug from Amanbazar area under Hathazari upazila of the district early today.
The arrested man was identified as Sarwar Kamal alias Liton, 42, son of Abdur Rahim of Fatheabad village under Hathazari upazila of the district.
Mahamudul Hasan Mamun, assistant director of RAB-7, told BSS that a team of the elite force, acting on secrete information, detained Liton with a foreign-made pistol, three rounds of ammunition, a magazine and 78 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from Rahman Market area of Amanbazar.
RAB claimed that Sawar is an armed terrorist and four cases were pending against him with Hathazari police station. He was handed over to Hatahazari thana police.
