DHAKA, April 17, 2020 (BSS) – Different industrial units in Pabna BSCIC Industrial City are producing essential commodities and life saving drugs to meet the demand of the country amid COVID-19 outbreak.
“The industrial units of the industrial city are being run by maintaining all health rules and officials of the industrial city are constantly monitoring the factories,” said an Industries Ministry press release here today.
A total of 203 large and small industries are in operation in the industrial city. Due to the COVID-19, now 167 industries are running their production. Five units of the Square Pharmaceuticals Limited are located in the industrial city. The units are Square Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd (Chemical Division), Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Ayurvedic Division), Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd (Agrovet Division), Square Herbal and Nutraceuticals Ltd and Square Pharma Pvt Limted.
A total of 120 industrial units are producing different essential commodities while 14 light engineering equipment manufacturing companies, four yarn producing companies, four chemical manufacturing companies, two printing and packaging producing companies and several other companies are operating their production activities.
