DHAKA, April 16, 2020 (BSS) – A member of Bangladesh Army was killed and 21 others were injured in a road accident near Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the city this morning.
The victim was soldier Prince, said an ISPR press release.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in the city.
According to the release, the accident took place when a truck of Army convoy carrying the army personnel was going to Jazira Cantonment from the Savar Cantonment.
The truck turned turtle in the area as it was trying to save a bicyclist coming from opposite direction, leaving the soldier dead on the spot and wounding others, the release said.
