Cooperatives Division donates Tk 1.18cr to PM’s relief fund
DHAKA, April 15, 2020 (BSS) – The officials and employees of different agencies under the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division today donated Taka 1.18 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund to help the government fight the deadly coronavirus in the country.
State Minister for Local Government Division Swapan Bhattacharjee handed over a cheque for around Taka 1.18 crore to Prime Minister’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), said a LGRD ministry press release said.
Rural Development and Cooperatives secretary Md Rezaul Ahsan was present on the occasion.
Taking part in the cheque hand-over ceremony through a videoconferencing from her official residence Ganabhaban, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina thanked the officials concerned for providing the donation to fight coronavirus.
The officials and employees of different departments and agencies under the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division donated their salary of one day to the PM’s relief fund.
