Outgoing IGP pays courtesy call on President

DHAKA, April 13, 2020 (BSS) – Outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr
Mohammad Javed Patwary paid a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at
Bangabhaban here this afternoon.

During the meeting, the IGP apprised the President of overall activities of
the police force, especially various development initiatives, undertaken
during his tenure, President’s Press Secretary Joynal Abedin told BSS.

The head of the state was told that the Bangladesh Police have also taken
different pragmatic steps to face the outbreak of the fatal Coronavirus
(Covid-19), he added.

The outgoing police chief also expressed his gratitude to the President for
providing all-out supports in discharging his duties.

Appreciating different people-oriented activities of police, President
Hamid hoped that the police force would continue to provide their pro-people
activities in days to come.

Secretaries concerned to the President were present there.
