RANGPUR, April 12, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 110 distressed families of
Bhelu Cluster Village in Saddyapuskorini union of Sadar upazila in the
district today received 1,100 kg of rice with 10-kg each amid coronavirus
(COVID-19) situation.
Rangpur Sadar upazila chairman and Women Affairs Secretary of district
Awami League Nasima Zaman Boby with Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Israt
Sadia Sumi reached the rice at doorsteps of the cluster village dwellers in
the afternoon.
The upazila chairman and UNO distributed the general relief rice sent by
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina among the cluster villagers from door to door
strictly maintaining physical distancing and public assembly.
Local Member of Saddyapuskorini union parishad Jahangir Hossain,
entrepreneurs of the union digital center Arifuzzaman Moon and Joint General
Secretary of Sadar Upazila Press Club Sakib Al Hasan were present on the
occasion.
