DHAKA, April 12, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation(BSCIC) has adjourned its loan recovery activities for the next three month due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
BSCIC has taken the decision considering the losses incurred by the entrepreneurs under the BSCIC industrial cities due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to a press release.
BSCIC started the loan programme in the fiscal 2015-16 by disbursing Taka 15 crore among the entrepreneurs. Now the amount of disbursed loan is around Taka 33 crore and the rate of recovery is around 96 percent.
Earlier, BSCIC adjourned service charges of all industrial units under the BSCIC industrial cities for the next three months due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
