DHAKA, April 12, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted that rain may occur at different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am.

“Rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind with hails is likely to occur at isolated places at one or two places over Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Sylhet divisions, and the regions of Cumilla and Noakhali,” said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning..

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over Sylhet Division and the regions of Dhaka, Faridpur, Rangamati, Rajshahi, Pabna, Jashore and Kushtia, and it may abate from some places.

Day temperature may fall by one to two degree Celsius and night temperature may rise by one to three degree Celsius over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Saturday was recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, while today’s minimum temperature was 17.5 degree Celsius in Srimangal under Sylhet Division.

The sun sets at 6.19 pm today and rises at 5.39 am tomorrow in the capital.
