Dry weather likely

DHAKA, April 10, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Meteorological Department today predicted that weather would remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 24 hours commencing at 9 am.

“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country, having chances of light rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna and Sylhet divisions,” said a Met Office bulletin issued this morning.

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Sylhet, Srimangal, Faridpur, Kushtia, Chuandanga and Rangamati, and it may continue and spread.

Day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, the bulletin said.

The highest temperature on Thursday was recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rajshahi, while today’s minimum temperature was 18 degree Celsius in Tetulia and Dimla under Rangpur Division.

The sun sets at 6.18 pm today and rises at 5.41 am tomorrow in the capital.
