Constable Kishore dies of kidney failure, not Covid: police
DHAKA, April 9, 2020 (BSS) – Constable of Madaripur Police Lines Kishore Kumar Das
died of different ailments, including kidney failure, while undergoing treatment at
Kurmitola General Hospital in the early hours of today at the age of 27.
“Kishore died of different ailments including kidney failure, diabetes and breathing
problem. He tested negative for Covid-19,” deputy inspector general (DIG), Dhaka
Range Hibibur Rahman told BSS over telephone.
He urged all to refrain from spreading rumors over coronavirus (COVID-19) as it has
been noticed that some facebook users are out to mislead the people over the death
of Kishore.
The DIG called upon the police personnel to discharge their duties with utmost
sincerity to apply the ‘stay at home’ directives and health guidelines of the
government in the wake of deadly coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
