RECOVERY-HEROIN-CHAPAI
Two held with 1 kg heroin in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, April 9, 2020 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion
(RAB) arrested two alleged illegal drug peddlers and recovered 1.10 kg heroin
from Kalupur graveyard area of sadar upazila this afternoon.
The arrestees were Md Touhidul Islam, 29, of Dighamiapara of Godagari
upazila in Rajshahi and Md Shahalal Babu, 26, of Hajirmore in Chapainawabganj
sadar upazila.
Acting on a tip-off, an operation team of RAB-5 arrested the duo and
recovered heroine from them worth Taka one crore and 10 thousand in a raid at
the Kaluapur graveyard area around 2pm.
The arrestees were handed over to Chapainawabganj sadar thana and a case
was lodged in this connection.
