BDRCS-ONLINE CONFERENCE
BDRCS holds online conference with its partners on COVID-19
DHAKA, April 7, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) today held an online conference with its other international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners to draw possible support and successfully conduct necessary operations for preventing the spread of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.
A high-level delegation of the BDRCS held this online conference through Skype with the officials of International Federation of Red Cross and the Red Crescent Societies, International Committee of the Red Cross, British Red Cross, American Red Cross, Swiss Red Cross, Swedish Red Cross, Danish Red Cross, German Red Cross, Qatar Red Cross and Turkish Red Cross, said a press release here.
BDRCS Secretary General M Firoz Salahuddin and IFRC Bangladesh Head Ajmat Ullah highlighted the present situation of COVID-19 spread in Bangladesh on the online conference from the headquarters of BDRCS in the city. It’s deputy Secretary General M Rafiqul Islam and Director M Mizanur Rahman apprised the ongoing operations of BDRCS against COVID-19 of the officials of the Red Cross of various countries.
The release said the partners have assured the high ups of the BDRCS of continuing their all-out support for conducting the present and future operations of the society to fight against this deadly virus.
BDRCS Secretary General M Firoz Salahuddin said that the society is working relentlessly to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19 through the efforts of its volunteers and employees.
He also called upon all for putting up their efforts to build a Coronavirus free Bangladesh and also the world.
