Tabligh Jamat asks its followers to return home
DHAKA, April 7, 2020 (BSS) – Tabligh Jamat Bangladesh today urged its followers, who
are now in different chillas (pattern of spending time to different mosques for preaching
Islam), to return home from their respective tours.
In a statement signed by its Ahlea Shura Prof Yusuf Shikder, the Tabligh Jamat said:
“Considering the notice of the Religious Affairs Ministry issued on Monday, those who are
now in teen chillas (continuous 120 days in tour), ak chilla (40 days) or in any jamat
are requested to return their respective homes.”
“If necessary, seek cooperation from the administrations in this regard,” the statement
said. The Tabligh Jamat followers are asked to offer prayer at homes and seek the welfare
of the Muslim Ummah and the whole mankind to the Almighty Allah in the ongoing
