5 more die of Covid-19, 41 fresh cases detected: health official
DHAKA, April 7, 2020 (BSS) – Five more coronavirus (Covid-19) patients died in the country overnight, raising the death toll to 17 while 41 more new Covid-19 positive cases were detected during the same period, a health official said today.
“Five more COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours, while the number of coronavirus cases has stood at 164 as 41 more people have been infected by the lethal virus ,” Director Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Dr Meerjady Sabrina Flora told a virtual media briefing at Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) in the city.
DGHS Director General Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad also addressed the briefing.
