PM mourns deaths of Brahmanbaria, Rangpur AL leaders

DHAKA, April 6, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister and Awami League (AL)
President Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of
Brahmanbaria district AL Advisory Council Member and valiant freedom fighter
SM Yusuf.

In a condolence message, the prime minister recalled with profound
respect his contributions to the Liberation War and the party.

Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed
profound sympathy to his family members, colleagues and well-wishers.

The veteran AL leader breathed his last at around 7 am today at the
Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka at the age of 75.

He left behind his wife, a son, a daughter as well as a host of
relatives and admirers to mourn his death.

In a separate condolence message, the prime minister mourned the death
of Rangpur district AL Organizing Secretary Towhidur Rahman Tutul.

She prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound
sympathy to his family members, colleagues and well-wishers.

Tutul died of a cardiac arrest at Rangpur Medical College Hospital this
noon at the age of 54.

He left behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives,
colleagues and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister and AL General Secretary Obaidul
Quader also condoled the deaths of Brahmanbaria district AL Advisory Council
Member SM Yusuf and Rangpul district AL Organising Secretary Towhidur Rahman
Tutul.

In separate condolence messages, he prayed for eternal peace of the
departed souls and conveyed profound sympathy to their family members,
colleagues and well-wishers.
