JU officers to donate a day’s salary to PM relief fund
SAVAR, April 4, 2020 (BSS) – All the officers of Jahangirnagar University
(JU) have decided to donate their one-day salary to the Prime Minister’s
Relief and Welfare Fund to help fight against the spread of the lethal
coronavirus across the country.
The decision to donate one-day salary was taken by the executive body of
Jahangirnagar University Officers’ Association, said a press release here
today.
Besides, Jahangirnagar University Teachers’ Association (JUTA) will also
donate one or two day’s salary of teachers to the PM relief fund to combat
the spread of COVID-19.
In this regard, JUTA president Professor Dr. AA Mamun said, “We have
decided to donate an amount from our salary to help people fight the COVID 19
crisis. We will take final decision on the matter soon by taking opinion from
the executive body.”
